You can use this page to identify the documented licensing models for MDriven Designer, MDriven Turnkey, and MDrivenServer, and to understand the restrictions that apply to source-code access.
Licensing overview
MDriven licenses may be usage-based, calendar-based, or negotiated with MDriven, depending on the product and deployment scenario.

Source-code license
A source-code license gives named developers at a licensing company access to MDriven Framework source code for debugging the MDriven product. It is an optional additional license and provides access rather than a sale of the source code.
The source-code license is issued to a named developer in the licensing company. It remains with the company if that developer leaves; the company must provide the name of a replacement developer. Source-code licenses are available only to corporations, not private individuals.
The delivered source includes C# code for compiling the runtime and design-time parts of the MDriven Framework for Visual Studio and the MDriven Designer plug-in for Visual Studio.
Confidentiality and permitted use
You may use supplied source files only to debug the MDriven product. The files are confidential information and must be protected with at least reasonable care. Do not disclose them to third parties.
You must not:
- Modify, adapt, alter, translate, or create derivative works from the source files.
- Merge the source files with other software.
- Disclose, lease, rent, loan, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise transfer the source files or any part of them to a third party.
- Remove, alter, or obscure confidentiality, copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Reproduce or use the source files except where the license expressly authorizes it.
For example, if you inspect a source file to diagnose a runtime defect, you may use it for that debugging purpose. You must not patch the file and distribute the patched version to another organization.
Local source changes are discouraged and should be temporary until MDriven issues an official fix.
Choose and obtain a license
- Determine whether you need local exploration, usage-based services, a calendar-based agreement, MDrivenServer operation, MDriven Turnkey hosting, or source-code access for debugging.
- For calendar-based licensing, source-code access, or a negotiated production arrangement, contact MDriven at sales@mdriven.net.
- If ordering source-code access, provide a scanned and signed purchase order. European customers must include their VAT-ID.
