You can join Wednesdays with MDriven to see MDriven topics demonstrated, ask questions, and give feedback if you work with or are evaluating MDriven.
What it is
Wednesdays with MDriven is an open online meeting for anyone interested in MDriven and model-driven development. MDriven presents new features, discusses development questions, and collects feedback from participants.
The sessions are useful when you want to:
- See a feature used in a real development discussion rather than only read about it.
- Ask about an issue or design choice in your own project.
- Learn how other developers approach models, ViewModels, and user-interface work.
- Review previous discussions at your own pace through recordings.
When and where
The meeting is held on the last Wednesday of each month at 19:00 CET (7 p.m. Swedish time) and takes place online.
Use the meeting link published with the current event to join. Check the event announcement before the meeting because the online location is not included on this page.
How to take part
- Check the current event announcement for the joining link.
- Join at 19:00 CET.
- Bring a question, a project scenario, or feedback if you have it.
- During the session, follow the demonstration and raise questions when discussion is invited.
- Watch the recording afterwards if you cannot attend live.
For example, if you are deciding how to build a screen around a ViewModel, describe the model and the user task you are trying to support. This gives the discussion a concrete starting point.
What is discussed
Topics vary by session. Recorded sessions include demonstrations and discussions about:
| Topic | Example from a session |
|---|---|
| MDriven Designer and UI editing | A session on the View Model Editor shows how generated content can be taken into ownership and then changed or removed as part of your own design. |
| ViewModel-based application design | A discussion covers ViewModels, ViewInView, permissions, preconditions, and related application behavior. |
| Tag expansion and page composition | A Tag Expander demonstration combines page elements such as a heading and a save control, and updates the heading when underlying data changes. |
| Modeling practice | A models-focused session discusses connecting process work items with tools such as ViewModels so that the model can be cross-referenced as it grows. |
| Development questions | Sessions include open discussion of subjects such as request handling, object caching, and EcoSpace pooling. |

Recordings let you revisit a feature demonstration, pause during a step, and skip to the part relevant to your work. Some older recordings refer to a bi-weekly meeting cadence; treat the schedule in When and where as the schedule stated for this page.
