Evaluate MDriven

MDriven presents its approach as model-driven development based on UML, a language-agnostic way to visually capture business logic. According to MDriven's EvaluationGuide, the platform is intended to reduce manual coding through automated frontend and backend generation and to help teams deliver and change standard applications more quickly.

Suggested evaluation focus

Use an evaluation to assess whether MDriven's approach fits your application's business logic, collaboration needs, and existing-system landscape.

Evaluation question What to assess
Can the team represent the business logic clearly? Assess whether UML-based visual models capture the relevant business logic in a form that developers and domain experts can review.
Can business and technical stakeholders collaborate effectively? Assess whether visual models and built-in documentation help make the system's structure and business logic transparent to the people involved.
Does the approach reduce dependence on individual developers? Assess whether the model and its documentation preserve essential business knowledge when team members change.
Can MDriven coexist with existing systems? Assess MDriven's claimed integration capabilities alongside the systems that must remain in use. The EvaluationGuide states that MDriven can work alongside legacy systems and refers to integration with C and APIs.
Does the architecture meet expected scale and operational needs? Assess the claimed modular design, cloud integrations, and built-in practices for security, concurrency, and fault tolerance against the application's requirements.

Record evaluation evidence

Record the scope of the evaluation, the people participating, the systems involved, the criteria used, and the observed results. Do not describe evaluation results as customer outcomes unless the account, context, measurement method, and approval to publish have been documented.
