This page records the currently documented boundaries for right-to-left (RTL) support in MDriven.
Documented styling surfaces
MDriven's UI & Styling documentation includes web customization, Turnkey styling and theming, CSS BEM, CSS Grid, custom HTML, and desktop UI styling resources.
For MDriven Turnkey, the style system is based on the BEM methodology. Turnkey uses CSS Grid for application layout unless placing containers are used; when placing containers are used, CSS flexbox is the core layout creator. Modifier classes can be entered in the Style ref field in the ViewModel Editor.
The Turnkey Styling documentation lists these out-of-the-box UI elements:
- Static text and images
- Text, number, and float fields
- Checkboxes and select controls
- Date pickers and data tables
- Buttons, links, text areas, and file uploads
Browser-language observation
The MDriven localization video states that browser language and culture values can vary by browser and language settings. It also says that the browser's language setting for showing web pages should be set, rather than only the browser display language. The video describes a translation-cache reset option that can allow translators to see changes without restarting.
RTL behavior requires product confirmation
The supplied documentation does not define an RTL layout switch, automatic text-direction handling, automatic component mirroring, supported RTL controls, or a supported CSS pattern for RTL-specific presentation.
Before committing to RTL delivery, confirm the following with MDriven:
- Supported RTL behavior for the target client and MDriven version.
- Whether Turnkey uses browser language or culture to set text or layout direction.
- Whether Turnkey components mirror their layout automatically or need styling changes.
- The supported location and maintenance approach for RTL-specific CSS or theming.
- Test expectations for ViewModels, data tables, date pickers, numeric fields, icons, and custom HTML.
